Public Recent Posts
We have a new feature coming to U-18Chan! This is a big one, and something I’ve wanted for a long time.
See, in the staff control panel, there is a page for recent posts. It’s nothing fancy, and is not very attractive, but it gets the job done. Most of our staff use this to keep up to date with the goings on all across the site.
I’ve noticed that whenever I bring on a new staff member, they wind up posting a lot more, and becoming a lot more active on boards they normally didn’t visit. This is clearly due to the recent posts page.
So now, finally, U-18Chan is getting a public recent posts page! This is some exiting shit. Why? Well it’s not JUST recent posts. This page allows you to select which boards you want to see recent posts for, AND search posts! You can even do both at once! AND there is an option to show images only. This, my friends, is the biggest thing to hit U-18Chan since indices. It may not seem like a big deal now, but try it for yourself, and you’ll instantly love it.
We don’t have an official date when it will be completed, but it is currently public and functioning. You can find it under the Misc tab, or under the directory /r/. I won’t make a public news or Twitter post about it until it is all polished up, but no sense keeping it private for now.
As I am writing this post, the search option is broken, and we are still messing about with the format. This feature is only three days old though, so bugs are expected. More bugs will pop up or be fixed in the future. If you do find any bugs, please email them to support@u18chan.com, or post about it on /d/ or /lo/.
